Surprise Button: Drum

The drum was simple to do. We followed the way the tutorial was done and used it as a guide. Everytime the drum is clicked it changes colours and looks like a disco ball changing colour. There weren't any difficulties in this tutorial.

Glide: Green Rhino

The rhino was pretty simple to do. All we had to do copy and paste the blue columns and change the time. When the space key is pressed the rhino glides around the computer screen. It pretty much looks like it is jumping around or floating like it is on space.

Key moves: Duck

The duck was simple but it took some time. When the arrows are pressed it goes around in those directions. After we did the first directions using the up arrow key we decided to copy and paste it and then just change the directions so it would be easier. This didnt take long and it made it easier for us to finish it.

Dance Twist: Dancer

The dancer was also a difficult tutorial. We had difficulty figuring out what time should be left for the dancer to start and stop dancing. Everytime the w key is pressed the dancer begins to dance and everytime you press it she starts dancing again.

Moving Animation: Dragon

The dragon was very difficult. It took a while to get it to change costumes properly. We also had difficulty figuring out how to make it move across the screen quickly and change into different costumes properly. It still takes a while to move across the screen but we decided to leave it because it is easier for it to change costumes.

Change Colour: Zebra

The zebra was also a simple tutorial. We

did have difficulties figuring out hwo to change the colours though but we then asked for help and we learn't how to do it. When you press the space key the zebra changes colours. You continue to change the space key and the zebra changes different colours non stop.

Say something: Monkey

This is our image of the monkey. This tutorial was the most simple tutorial we have done. When the monkey is clicked it will automatically say " Hi my name is bubbles". There weren't any difficulties encountered while completing this activity.

Interactive whirl: starfish

This is the image of the starfish. When the green flag is clicked you move the mouse around the computer screen and the starfish will start to whirl around the computer screen. This continues to happen when you move your mouse around the computer screen. You can stop it by pressing the stop button and it should freeze and go back to how it started.

Follow the mouse: Crab

This is the image of the crab. When the green flag is pressed you move the mouse a

round and the crab follows it. This was simple we followed the wa the tutorial was set out and that made it more simple. The crab continouesly moves around the computer until the stop button is pressed. There were no problems encountered with this tutorial.

Animate it: Butterfly

This is how our butterfly works.

When you press the green flag it flaps it wings. This was a very simple tutuorial that we chose. It didnt take long but we did use alot of time cutting and pasting items from the forever loop.

Tutorials: 19.11.08

Today sam and i finalised every scratch challange we did.

We did the following:

Animatie it: butterfly
Follow the mouse: Crab
Interactive whirl: starfish
Say something: monkey
Change colour: Zebra
MOving animation: Dragon
Dance twist: Dancer
Key moves: Duck
Glide: green rhino
Surprise button: Drum

I did the first 5 and sam did the last 5. I had many difficulties as to figuring out how everything worked. I was constantly struggling with putting different components in the forever loop. We spent 3 lessons doing the following and we didnt have enough time to work on our blog so time management was another problem for us.

I will post images of the tutorials we did on seperate blogs.

22.09.08 assignment

Today i finished all my work and updated the piczo site. We finally finished the research and summarised the answers. We also added the photos and given a brief explanation of why that particular image is on the site. The biggest problem i encountered was where to put the text of information. I was pressing print screen from microsoft word and saving the document as an image after it was cropped. I then put it on piczo as an image. It was alot harder to understand so i decided just to copy and paste my written text and put it onto piczo. I've categorised the information into different colours to its easy to understand which part is which.

IST animation. Snowman.

The video

5th IST blog assignment.

Today i finally finished my IST assignment. It was difficult but i got through it after hours of work. I decided i wanted to leave the background black rather then white. Im going to upload it now. The biggest difficulty i had was saving the files to my usb then opening them at school and exporting them to my s drive that took about 50 mins. Thats all for now.

Sunday, March 30, 2008

4th IST assignment blog.

Today was the most stressful day for my snowman animation. The other day i created the 75 images and put them on my usb and tried to export them on my computer that didn't work. The next day when i went to school during IST i exported 65 images onto the s drive that took about half an hour. Some of the images decided not to open which made it even more difficult so i had to take my time and wait for the images to load. After all the frustraion i finally created the snowman and all i have to do now is put him on movie player.

Thursday, March 27, 2008

3rd IST assignment blog

Ok so i figured out how to view the image. You have to write .png so it actualy becomes a file. My snowman is getting more annoying to draw now. I can never get it in the right direction without it taking 3 different ways to fix it up. So far im up to my 25th frame and im thinking of having the snowman leave the right side of the screen because it'll start snowing. Thats all for now.

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Blog 2 Ist assignment

Today i started my animation the snowman. I decided to use inkscape and took the program home and try and i actually got the snowman done. I'm having difficulties saving the images and after its exported i have no idea where it goes. Thats going to be a problem. other then that i'm up to my 5th frame another 70 more to go.

Monday, March 24, 2008

1st blog for IST assignment

Today i reread the IT assignment and Mr. Lennon gave us a preview of his version of a dog. He showed us how to use inkscape to help us with the animation. We also learn't how to save and export the images in order to create the 75 frames needed. I'm thinking of creating a snow man that moves to the end of the screen while it starts snowing. Thats all for now.

Buying a digital camera:

Answer the following questions

1)Explain what you want the camera for, printing high quality images ? showing friends on the internet ? quick family snaps? Should it be small and easily portable? Do you want to do professional quality shots?

I'd like the camera for various reasons. I love taking photos with family and friends. I think it's really important to have memories and one of the ways to have plenty of memories is taking photos. I'd like it to be small and easy to carry around not something big and heavy. I don't mind what shots i have as long as they are able to be seen.

2)What resolution should I look for (try
this site for help) A camera that is not expensive yet is stillgood enough to operate and won't have it's batteries die out on you.

3)What type of memory is available (click
here for help) I'd like a camera with 1Gb of memory or more if possible so you dont have to delete that many photos.

4)Find two cameras that would suit your needs, copy their details into this document and explain why they would suit you.

a) nikon Coolpix
http://www.cnet.com.au/digitalcameras/cameras/0,239036184,339285807,00.htm
This camera is really cute. It has plenty of memory and isn't too expensive. It's an affordable price.

b)Sony cyber:
http://www.cnet.com.au/digitalcameras/cameras/0,239036184,339286075,00.htm
This camera's easy to carry around. It has a high rating which means it must a good suitable camera. It's fast and doesnt take a while to take a photo.

5)Explain how a card reader would be useful for you to have with the camera. A card reader would be useful because its incharge of memory. It's easy to access. you can always have other copies of photos on it.
